The Newbury Park Rotary will present the 22nd annual Oktoberfest, Saturday and Sunday, September 27 and 28 at Underwood Family Farms, between Thousand Oaks and Moorpark (23 Fwy., Tierra Rejada exit, Moorpark). Oktoberfest will feature live German music, dancers and contests for the best-dressed Bavarian costumes, stein-holding and beer tasting. A craft fair and second stage highlighting live local entertainment will also be part of the two-day event. Family activities include a petting zoo, mining for gold and gems, pumpkin and vegetable picking, corn slingshot, pig races and free hayrides. German food will be available as well as a full food court with variety of tastes. Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Cost: $10 for adults, kids age two and under, free. Free parking.
