…where the Wildcats are

It’s a no-brainer: wherever there’s a college or university, there’s a large population of young people. Wherever there’s a large population of young people, there’s going to be a ton of shops, cafes, restaurants, bars and other generalized fun activities (always interspersed with hard-core cramming, of course). And where there’s a ton of activities and amenities? That’s probably where you want to be.

It helps that U of A has a pretty campus, too; all 179 main campus buildings are unified by a red brick motif, and a couple of them were designed by local architect Roy Place.

Apartments, cute cottage homes and other single-family dwellings are reasonably priced, and offer a convenient commute to the campus.
