Southeast Tucson

Send to a friend

…keeping an eye to the sky

It’s a bird—it’s a plane—it’s…a plane, flying from the Davis-Monthan Air Force Base! And where they train A-10 and OA-10 pilots, you’ll probably find a good number of local flyboys at watering holes like the Post Time Bar on South Craycroft, with smooth tequila and impromptu singing.

Located on the Southeast Side, the D-M (as locals call it) is one of the most important elements of Tucson’s identity and economy, making an estimated $750 million impact on the city each year. And with nearly 8,000 employees, some consider the D-M a major factor in why the Southeast Tucson even has residents at all.

With a nearly 1,000% growth in population since 1990, this area is poised for growth and convenience.

Check out Rita Ranch for reasonably priced, attractive single-family homes and blue skies as far as the eye can see (with the occasional bird/plane).
