Torrey Pines

Send to a friend

…windswept and spectacular

Do you love to (check all that apply):
- Golf?
- Hike?
- Swim?
- Surf?
- Sunbathe (nude or otherwise)?
- Think of yourself as a “green” person?
- Reside in a top-notch housing development?
- Gaze upon beautiful land- and sea-scapes?

Then Del Mar Heights/Torrey Pines is the place for you. Most people recognize Torrey Pines for its world-famous championship golf course, but that’s just the beginning.

This is an extraordinary spot. Whatever terrain you love, you’ll find it here—cliffs, mesas, canyons, beaches and wetlands. Extensive trails run through the neighborhood, and much of Torrey Pines is protected land—all the better to preserve the stunning views, wildlife and famous pine trees that grow along the beach cliffs here.

The main residential areas are Del Mar Terraces and Del Mar Heights. Carmel Valley Road and Del Mar Heights Road house quaint shopping and commercial districts. And in case we haven’t sold you already, there are the award-winning schools.

But let’s not forget the beaches. The state park is a magnet for surfers and sun worshippers. And for the less inhibited, there’s even a nude beach (Black’s Beach), and the hearty hike required to gain access to it is a great way to get your workout in before letting it all hang out!

And you thought it was just about golf…
