...it’s all good

Cal State University San Marcos opened in 1989, and the rest is history.

This rapidly growing modern campus with its state-of-the-art technology has brought an influx of free-thinking youth and intelligentsia, not to mention the growth of upscale developments and big-box retailers that inevitably follows the crowds. There’s a sense of excitement here, and everyone can feel it.

San Marcos is known for some of the best dining in North County. Old California Restaurant Row here features a huge variety of restaurants and ethnic cuisines, reflecting the cultural range of the local residents, plus the ubiquitous English Pubs that college students love.

Not surprisingly, all this has created a robust job market and (not-so-coincidentally), spurred the development of numerous area golf courses (hey, where better to network?). Proximity to Lake San Marcos, Carlsbad and its luxury resorts (Aviara and La Costa) adds a certain catnip quality that makes the area even harder to resist.
