Point Loma

Send to a friend

…on a clear day, you can see Mexico

Close to downtown San Diego, historic Point Loma is a neighborhood of pretty rolling hills and quiet streets. It’s an idyllic, diverse area with a past-meets-present kind of character.

This area was the first sight Europeans saw when they sailed up the coast from Mexico in 1542. There’s a broad mix of residential architecture here, from modern to Spanish-revival to cozy 1920s bungalows. Homes on Loma Portal (the elevated part of the peninsula) often have both city and ocean views.

Liberty Station is a newly renovated, former Naval Training Center. This self-contained, mixed use community includes residences, offices, retail space, an educational district, hotels and a developing arts and culture center. And somehow, they’ve managed to squeeze in 125 acres of parks and green space.

It’s urban convenience with an easy, suburban feel. And a view.
