…helping keep San Diego lush and green since 1910

This ’hood, in a word, is simply grand. Okay, that’s two words, but you’ll understand when you see it: winding hilltop streets lead to manicured lawns and well-preserved, early 20th-century Spanish Revival-style homes and bungalows. Famous horticulturist Kate Sessions (of Balboa Park fame) helped to develop this area and the Mission Hills Nursery, which she established in 1910.

Aside from a smattering of coffee shops and salons, this area is mostly residential. Join the locals for street fairs, church and civic events and summer concerts in Pioneer Park. It’ll be, in another two words, a blast!
