…full of Linda Vistas (pretty views)

Before the shopping center was really invented, wayyy back in the 1940s, the government supported a project to create a new community to house aircraft workers for the war effort. Built on what was once an olive grove, its new residents would have easy access to everything in the city, and they’d get a brand-spankin’ new hub called the Linda Vista Shopping Center, the only one of its kind to offer a unique space for retail (and the first San Diego shopping mall was born…).

Years later, enhanced by the architecture and book-smarts of the University of San Diego, this neighborhood gets better by the day, with plans to renovate and create. Plus, true to its name, it still offers the same spectacular views of Mission Bay, the Pacific Ocean, Mission Valley and Tecolote Canyon.
