I was feeling a bit depressed yesterday because I realized that we are at the height of holiday season and, to me, it doesn't even feel like Christmas is coming. It's December and I still have Halloween pumpkins rotting on my tiny balcony.
This is the first year I haven't been able to decorate for the holidays due to two reasons: 1-lack of space and 2-lack of extra funds. I love festive decor, but my apartment isn't exactly fit for a Christmas tree, and I don't have a fireplace-let alone a mantle-to hang stockings on. What's a renter to do?! Well, I did what I always do when I need creative ideas. I turned to my good friend Google. And what did I find? A website dedicated to helping renters decorate their small spaces on a budget.
The site is called Rental Decorating Digest and provides a plethora of articles about how to make small spaces seem bigger, how to incorporate feng shui into oddly shaped rooms, and how to decorate for the holidays on a budget.
After all, an apartment is still a home no matter how small it is, why not decorate it like one?
