Cheap Eats in College at the 4.0 Deli

Posted by Murphy Applegate on 2/8/2008 1:40:30 PM in College, dining out, food & wine, happy hour

A popular hang out for college students (and professors too!), the menu board features creatively titled deli sandwiches like "In Yo Face Sucka" and "Phizzle Chizzle."

It's hard to find cheap eats without going to a generic drive thru. but this place offers good food for $1 - $20 per person (obviously depending on how hungry you are). Another perk is that the people watching here is much more interesting.

Normally packed full around lunch time, tables are squeezed in under giant screen TV's and autographed sports jerseys. Stop by after class for happy hour, too. 4.0 Deli serves up classy college beers like Nati Light and Bud. I don't recommend having too many of those with your prof though--never turns out good!

One wise word of advice: Parking is nearly impossible here. Best to walk, ride a bike, rollerblade, skateboard, float or hop on a Razr or Segway instead. Unless your cool with putting your rent money towards boot removal, which defeats the purpose of cheap eats.
