Bay Park

Send to a friend

…an aquatic playground

Since 1929, this waterside jewel has been home to San Diego's first planned recreational attraction, Mission Bay Park.

We’re talking Sea World, marinas, bike trails, major hotels, resorts and restaurants for every palate, and the usual amount of breathtaking sunsets, leisurely pursuits of every kind and water sports galore. There’s even a historic sternwheeler—the Bahia Belle—because what would a touristy seaport be without a ship?

The self-titled largest natural tourist attraction in Southern California also has big game fishing, camping and golf. This all lies on 27 miles of shoreline (19 of which are beaches). After a day of water- or jet-skiing, huddle around a cozy fire and swap stories.

What more could any landlubber ask for?
