Farmers Markets Have a Long History in Riverside

Posted by Savarin on 6/12/2008 3:18:02 PM in Riverside, food & wine, shopping, green living, main street, health & beauty

Riverside is silly with farmers markets, and one of the oldest and maybe best known is Doi’s, near Magnolia and Polk [where: 3740 Polk Street, Riverside, CA 92505]. Their location used to be part of the family nursery and family farm (150 acres!) that’s since been sold off for development.

The Doi’s Farmers Market remains as a testament to the tradition of Asian growers who have worked the California land for generations. And the market satisfies! Fresh fruits and vegetables and even some specialties keep ‘em comin’ back for more. You can’t get your minimum daily requirements without a trip to Doi’s.

They’re open most days from 9am-4pm. Call for more information at 951-359-6843.
