Art lovers, your attention please. Scottsdale has more art galleries per capita than anywhere else in the country, and a visit to downtown will place you in the heart of it all. Lose yourself in art ranging from southwest to contemporary—and especially enjoy yourself in downtown Scottsdale during the Thursday night Art Walks.

In downtown you’ll find covered walkways and 1920s architecture that will keep you strolling past endless options for dining, cafés, bistros, nightlife, museums and shops. Just north of downtown is Scottsdale Fashion Square where you’ll be inundated with hip, but you can handle it. Just a little further north lies Kierland Commons with loads of shopping, dining and entertainment, peppered with plenty of living space.

Nature lovers...what can we say, except if you can't enjoy over 200 golf courses or 40 "feel the burn" trails, well, you're not really trying.

South Scottsdale has seen a ton of new development due to Arizona State University’s 1.2 million-sq.-ft. SkySong center for technology and innovation. This sleek-looking, forward-thinking mixed-use center has office and retail space, a hotel and conference center, and planned residential units with all the bells and whistles. Talk about the wave of the future!
