…breathing nightlife into downtown

Years ago, people may have ventured into downtown Phoenix only for work or the airport, but recently, this area has undergone a dramatic revitalization. Copper Square and all the other downtown areas are transforming with the arrival of apartment rentals, restaurants, bars, markets (over 90 at last count) and sports arenas like US Airways Center and Chase Field. Plus, once the new light rail system is completely constructed, Phoenix residents will be able to speed around downtown without the congestion of street traffic.

Just northeast of downtown is the Historic Heritage Square, a collection of structures dating back to the late 1800s, which are now inhabited by shops and restaurants - including Pizzeria Bianco, rated the best pizza in America.

Don’t be fooled by all the new construction - this is one of Phoenix’s oldest neighborhoods, and vintage architecture is everywhere. These old-looking buildings house some of the area’s best activities, like museums, live theater and live music. Residents love it here.

Isn’t it great when old meets new?
