…gallop, don’t trot, to Orange Park Acres

Nestled inside the city of Orange lies a neighborhood that prides itself on being the official equestrian destination of Orange County since 1928. Orange Park Acres, with a tiny 5,500 population and 1.4 sq. miles, is divided into several 20,000-sq.-foot lots, where stables and historic homes abound—well, as much as they can when they’re so far apart.

Also, there’s only one shopping center. That’s okay though, because it’s the history that’s really the draw here, preserved with the lack of sidewalks and streetlights…and an abundance of fenced horse trails.

Santiago Canyon College is here too, making the Acres a cool place if you’re into horses and courses.
