Midway City

Send to a friend

…mid way in every way

Although Midway City’s name is derived from its location halfway between Long Beach and Santa Ana, the area’s small-town vibe feels midway between your average inland SoCal city and a typical Midwest town.

The Midway City folk are a proud citizenry. When an attempt was made to incorporate the community into nearby Huntington, a signature campaign quickly ground it to a halt. They’re an ethnically diverse, family-oriented and blue-collar bunch.

Homes here are a mix of one-story ranches and trailers. The main draw to town meetings are the homemade desserts, and the town’s website is dominated by a salute to their firefighters.

With an affordable location that is only a few minutes drive to the beach, Midway City is a good permanent stop.
