…a historic community in the midst of a renaissance

It took 20 years, but Fullerton has turned itself into one of the most lively, modern communities in Orange County.

Forget the worn pawnshops and secondhand stores that once dominated this 'hood; now there's a rustic, old-town atmosphere amid more than 70 historic buildings, upscale apartments and decorative walkways. This is the kind of downtown that makes a community, well, a community. Today it's a cultural center where people gather with friends, enjoy music and catch up on the day’s news.

They seem to have thought of everything (like FullertonWireless providing Internet connectivity everywhere in the city). Transportation is a breeze with 28 Metrolink and 22 Amtrak trains, plus more than 2,500 “free” public parking spaces to support extensive retail and office space.

Not to be outdone by modern amenities, the area's natural beauty shows itself in 26 acres of botanical gardens on the CSU-Fullerton campus, and at the Arboretum.
