As a student studying fine arts for five years I am always happy to see what other student artists are doing now -a-days. That’s why I was excited to see the First Thursdays Art Walk collaborated with Laguna College of Art and Design. First Thursday Art Walk has become somewhat of a tradition for my friends and me but this was extra special. Much of the work displayed was from the seniors of Laguna College which were present to chit chat about their works and inspirations. The program, from what I hear, pairs senior students in the Fine Arts Professional Studies class with First Thursday’s professional art galleries. The program is designed to demonstrate the intricacies involved in the business of operating a gallery and professionally exhibiting artwork. Sounds like a great way to get your foot in the door!
