Santa Ana…historic and happenin’

With vintage 1920s neighborhoods, historic buildings, a diverse population, and a strong revitalization effort, the city of Santa Ana (and the smaller Santa Ana Heights) stands in stark contrast to the mostly mono-chromatic communities surrounding it.

Ten miles inland, Santa Ana is serviced by three of Orange County’s major freeways and a steady stream of trains. The MainPlace Mall has added thousands of jobs, while also acting as the foundation for Santa Ana’s ambitious and successful revitalization.

Residents boast that Santa Ana is the one truly urban city in all of Orange County, and it’s hard to argue. With artist villages, a dense and diverse population, large city parks, the Santa Ana Zoo, affordable single family homes popping with character and only a short drive to the Pacific, Santa Ana offers the sights of a city and the salty air of a beach town.
