I’ve spoken many times about the glory of living so near to central Fort Collins—the shopping, the restaurants, the convenience. Now there is another reason: The Wildrock Café. Open for only a few months, the owners migrated from Los Angeles for a better life with their two daughters. Fort Collins has thus gained an amazing eating experience.
Guests are greeted immediately by friendly wait-staff. A beautiful hand-laid rock entrance and an elegant waterfall introduce a woodsy, but chic, atmosphere. The owners took great care to craft every corner of the restaurant with the highest quality of design. I was immediately comfortable and at home.
The menu, simple and elegant, presents fun choices—for brunch I struggled between the goat cheese and spinach omelet with roasted potatoes and the eggs benedict. I chose the former and was not sorry. (My husband had the benedict and was also pleased) The kids loved the breakfast choices of pancakes, bacon, sausage, grapes—choose 2. While deciding on food our coffee came in large café style cups—piping hot and nice and strong. The kids’ orange juice definitely tasted fresh-squeezed. All in all the food and drink was perfect.
The café is open for breakfast on weekends and lunch and dinner everyday. It is by far my overall best choice for Fort Collins restaurants. Price, atmosphere, quality, friendliness, cleanliness; The Wildrock has it all.
