Blog Action day, which occurred on October 15th, was a worldwide initiative to encourage bloggers to post articles about the environment. This was the first year of Blog Action Day and more than 10,000 bloggers participated by educating their audiences on a wide variety of subjects from sustainable design to hybrid cars.
