…big living in Dinkytown

Although it’s only a few square blocks, Dinkytown is the heart of the Marcy Holmes neighborhood. Cozied up to the U of M’s main campus, Dinkytown is packed with restaurants, stores, bars and small businesses that cater to students and faculty alike.

From the upscale and award-winning Restaurant Alma to tiny Al’s Breakfast, you’re never far from your next meal. At the Loring Pasta Bar, you’ll dine in the same building where Bob Dylan once rested his weary poet’s head. If that doesn’t grab you, a few blocks away you can see the school that inspired the band Marcy Playground’s name.

A short stroll west takes you to Minneapolis’ Riverfront District, where you’ll find eateries and coffee shops with views of Saint Anthony Falls, the Guthrie Theater, the Stone Arch Bridge and the Mill City Museum.

The great news: over 80% of the housing in Marcy Holmes consists of rentals (apartments, duplexes, homes) so there’s something for every taste and budget.

That’s what we call big living!
