We think Edina is such a lovely name for a town—the sound of it reminds us of the next-door neighbor that everyone had
a crush on. So you can imagine how pleased we are that this swank suburb is even prettier than what’s-her-name.  

With a median average income that’s twice that of the rest of the city, Edina definitely has a reputation for wealth, but don’t let that intimidate you. Along with luxury condos, there are apartments in Edina—many above charming street shops. Residents are friendly and the general vibe is laid-back.

And you’ll be relaxed, too, when you’re surrounded by so much cool stuff. Head to the heart of the walkable downtown shopping district at 50th and France, where the annual Edina Art Fair is located, and pick up a few things for a night on the town. Or do some serious eating and shopping at the local spots.   

For some serious mall shopping don’t miss Southdale Center with over 120 specialty stores and the Galleria where you can find shops of distinction.

You can also check out the nearby Art Center or Aquatic Center for a fun Saturday activity. And all year long, you can take a walk in Centennial Lakes Park, where mini-golf, paddleboats, lawn-bowling and ice-skating make for great Saturday afternoons.
