If you’ve ever been to the Minnesota State Fair, chances are you’ve driven around (and around) the Como Park neighborhood looking for free parking. (Next year give up the fantasy and just go right to the pay lot.)

This beautiful, family-friendly ‘hood wraps around Lake Como and Como Regional Park, 384 acres of gorgeous green that includes an 18-hole golf course, bike paths, a conservatory, a museum, a municipal pool (pause here to catch breath), mini-golf, paddleboat rentals, an amusement park and a lakeside pavilion that features concerts, musicals and a full-service restaurant.

Oh, and a full-on zoo.

Assuming you’d ever want to leave this neighborhood, Como Park is filled with apartments for rent, big beautiful homes and great schools (even Newsweek thinks so). Nice. A quick trip down Snelling Avenue will get you to whatever shopping you need.
If you lived here, next August you could be renting out your driveway for State Fair parking—ka-ching!
