…a great spot to land

Tucked up in the northeast corner of Minneapolis, parts of this neighborhood have a seriously “off the beaten path” feel. From the hilly, tree-lined streets to the industrial landscape along the Mississippi, this place really runs the gamut.

St. Anthony Parkway is part of the 50-plus miles of biking, hiking and skiing paths that make up the Minneapolis Grand Rounds scenic byway. Or, if you’re part of the knickers-and-plaid set, get out your putter, channel your inner Tiger Woods and head over to the Columbia Golf Course. Part of the 183-acre Columbia Park, it’s the second oldest golf course in the Minneapolis park system. Sporty and historic!

Of course, you can’t live on sports alone, but Central Avenue will get you whatever else you need, with stores and restaurants from the big and boxy to the local and indie owned. Home to local faves like Holy Land bakery and grocery store, this part of Minneapolis has always attracted new immigrants, so there’s an abundance of international eats—most of the recipes are straight from the old country, too. Yum.
