Tucked between Hollywood and Burbank, Universal City is a tiny, unincorporated area that is pretty much centered around Universal Pictures. You’ve got the 36-story office building for Universal and NBC, the Universal CityWalk for shopping and entertainment, Universal Studios Hollywood for roller coaster-type thrills, and of course the Universal sets and lots. The Gibson Ampitheatre, which holds concerts and other events, is also located here.

With so much going on, you may wonder how they fit any places to live in this neighborhood. So did we—until we found moderately priced single-family homes and apartment buildings placed in pockets around town.
