New York Street on the back lot of Raleigh Studios sets the stage for this year’s event. Kicking off the evening will be “street” performers, favorite New York appetizers, wine, beer, tequila, vodka and margarita tastings, raffles, and live auctions. A live performance by musician Shotgun Honeymoon will highlight the evening’s events. Over 200 guests are expected to turn out from the South Bay, Pasadena, San Marino, Beverly Hills, West Los Angeles, Orange County, Northern California, and New York – including guests from the fashion and entertainment industries, as well as professional athletes.

You’ve heard it time and time again, but the tangibility of LA traffic is nauseating. Moving to LA, I consciously made the decision that I would try my hardest to never let traffic bother me. I know it’s LA. It’s got to be bad, but it can’t be that bad, can it? It can. Believe me.

Yes, the hidden secret that only the Beachwood Canyon ‘hood used to know about is out. La Poubelle, a French neighborhood cafe, is located on a hip little block on Franklin Ave. It shares the block with other boutiques, cafes, bar and restaurants.

Dutton's Brentwood Books, one of LA's great independent bookstores, is closing it's doors after 23 years of business. Dutton's location is to be redeveloped. It is unsure whether Dutton will open a new store, unfortunately, the competitive pressures of big box stores have resulted in, as Dutton puts it, 'a sober assessment of the realities of the book world.'

One of the perks to living near any college campus is the food. It’s no secret that the majority of college students don’t know how to make their own food, or it could be that they are simply too lazy, but one way or the other, there is always good restaurant food around any college campus, and USC is no different.
