…out of the jungle, into suburbia

No, you're not required to swing on vines to get from place to place in this quaint valley ‘hood, nor do people speak in half-sentences (“Me, landlord. You, interested.”), but it is named after the man who created Tarzan. Edgar Rice Burroughs purchased this land and built his large estate, Tarzana Ranch, on what used to be poultry ranches and berry farms.

These days, you’ll find older, single-family homes interspersed among 1960s-era apartment buildings and a generous share of suburban strip malls. Easy access to the 101 makes getting around super convenient.
