You can get to the Sunset Strip anytime you want, but when you're in need of a little p & q while you cram a semester's worth of knowledge into an hour long grind session, you'll be glad you live in idyllic Santa Monica.
Hunker down at the beach (study and sun bathe - you'll need these types of multi tasking skills when you hit corporate America) or hole up in a quaint lil' coffee shop. Either way, Santa Monica College is far enough removed from the busy LA atmosphere that even mom will believe you really do go to "the library" at night.

Where to Hang
In case you were wondering what a "library" is, as mentioned above, it is primarily considered a great restaurant and bar located on Main Street. However, not too long ago, a library was also something akin to netflix, only for books and they didn't deliver them to your door. Can you imagine!?
Should you choose to attend Santa Monica College, Main Street is where you and your friends will be found most of the time. Between the adorable boutiques, the vast array of restaurants and bars and the smell of the ocean just blocks away, you'll be sure to find your inner socialite on Main Street.
You will thoroughly enjoy the combination of beach time, study time and hip nightlife Santa Monica has to offer. And if you are craving a little action on Sunset or just have to visit the Chateaux Marmont - no worries - it's all at your finger tips.
