…Wow!

This is it. The place most people imagine when they think “California.”

Known for its spectacular cliffside bluffs overlooking the Pacific and Santa Catalina Island, this breathtaking peninsula 23 miles south of LA also includes Palos Verdes Estates, Rolling Hills and Rolling Hills Estates.

RPV is known for landmarks like the romantic Point Vicente Lighthouse, Marineland of the Pacific (the former aquatic park), and the Wayfarers Chapel, an architectural beauty built by Lloyd Wright in the 1940s. The air is fresh, the views are protected, development is kept in check and the commute is amazing.

With all this magnificence, you’d have to figure there’s a catch or two—and sadly, you’d be right. In fact, many areas of the peninsula are slowly sliding into the sea. The continuous landslide at Portuguese Bend is a major example. Then there’s the former Ocean Trails Golf Course, recently purchased (and being shored up) by Donald Trump after a 1999 landslide destroyed the 18th hole.

But seriously, look at this place! And about 20% of the residents are renters. We think if you’re gonna live in LA, you may as well do it right, and it just doesn’t get more gorgeous than Rancho Palos Verdes.

Hey, everything’s a tradeoff, right?
