Porter Ranch

…you’ll find it blowin’ in the wind

A small community on the northwest end of LA County, Porter Ranch is known for being the wind capital of Southern California. And where there’s wind, there’s space, and this area definitely feels like a quiet escape from the city.

Yet Porter Ranch is easily accessible by the Ronald Reagan Freeway (California Highway 118) and the Metrolink commuter rail system, and many of Porter Ranch’s residents enjoy an easy commute to nearby high-tech hub Chatsworth.

As one of the last portions of the San Fernando Valley to be developed, most construction didn’t start here until the 1970s, which explains its ultra-planned, modern feel. Generously-sized, single-family homes in gated communities are the norm.
