...like finding a needle in a haystack this city is a rare find

Paramount’s dynamic setting manages to keeps things well balanced with a range of residential, industrial and commercial developments. The city's small-town feel is reflected in its quaint, tree-lined neighborhoods, white picket fences and wide array of recreation programs.

Once the epicenter of the world’s hay trade, the hay farmers of the area would gather every morning under the Hay Tree and discuss the price of hay for the world market. The Hay Tree still stands to this day at Paramount Boulevard near Harrison Street as one of Paramount’s claims to fame.

But don’t let all of this farm talk discourage you.

Paramount’s eclectic scene includes the Paramount Iceland ice-rink, which is, hockey fans pay attention, the birth place to the Zamboni machine and home to many highly regarded figure skaters. Public commissioned artwork is also a big thing in Paramount. Take a stroll downtown and admire the sculpture work and murals that line the walls of businesses.

Ahhh Paramount, you can have a hay day(we couldn't resist) here!
