Granada Hills

…a thriving, almost pastoral community

The evidence that Granada Hills evolved from a citrus farming community is the intermittent orange, lemon or grapefruit trees that pop up in some yards. Other than that, this northernmost suburb of LA is now home to both working- and middle-class residents.

Though some retail and commercial areas are scattered throughout, Granada Hills is mostly residential, offering awesome mountain views and close proximity to endless open space. O’Melveny Park has 672 acres, a small stream, more citrus and panoramic views. The more rustic Limekiln Canyon Park has wild areas, canyon trails and Mission Point, the highest point in the area—on a clear day, you can see both the ocean and all of downtown LA.

Think of it as having a 3.8 million-person city in the front yard...and a major ocean out back.
