The District at Green Valley Ranch- A Village Within A City

Posted by Kirk McKnight on 3/18/2008 1:45:56 PM in Green Valley Ranch, Henderson

The District at Green Valley Ranch is among the first of the Valley’s growing trend towards shopping/residential communities. Established in April of 2004, The District is home to several popular restaurants like P.F. Chang’s and The Cheesecake Factory, as well as specialty stores like Williams-Sonoma and Sharper Image. Rising above these restaurants and stores are The District’s residential lofts and flats, ranging in size from 875 to 1,750 square feet. The largest entity of The District is Station Casino’s Green Valley Ranch Resort and Spa. Green Valley Ranch offers a large movie theater complex as well as restaurants like The Original Pancake House and bars like Quinn’s Irish Pub.

Being situated in the shadow of Green Valley Ranch gives The District a convenient location for visiting commuters and shoppers. The District is located just off the Green Valley Parkway exit on the I-215 Bruce Woodbury Beltway. This convenient location extends itself not only to those visiting The District but to the actual residents themselves. Green Valley Parkway is located just a few miles west of the I-215/U.S. Highway 95 junction, which provides a southbound route into Henderson and a northbound route into Northwest Las Vegas.

Along with the entertainment at nearby Green Valley Ranch, The District is also neighbor to recreational facilities at Liberty Pointe, which include an outdoor amphitheatre, swimming pools, and basketball courts. On the other side of the I-215 Beltway from The District are several business districts, which are headquarters to valley media giants like Greenspun Media and The Las Vegas Sun.

Potential home buyers of Green Valley not wishing for the loft/flat style home above shopping districts may find more suitable homes near The District inside gated communities like The Estates at Green Valley or the living community also named Green Valley Ranch. With so many options available to shoppers, residents, and casino patrons, it’s no wonder The District has attracted so many followers in the shopping/residential community arena throughout the Valley.
