Lake Las Vegas- Nevada’s Other Man Made Body of Water

Along with Green Valley and Sun City Anthem, Lake Las Vegas gives Henderson yet another reason to boast its continual growth. Located just a few miles east of Main Street Henderson, Lake Las Vegas is a popular resort/community built by a man made lake. The beautiful and carefully designed resort offers world class hotels like The Ritz-Carlton and Montelago Village Resort as well as renowned golf courses like Reflection Bay and Rainbow Canyon. The entertainment isn’t just limited to hotel guests and golfers. Lake Las Vegas also has several restaurants, stores, gelato parlors, and a “concert on the lake” series throughout the spring and summer. Gaming entertainment is also provided inside the various casinos within Montelago Village and The Ritz-Carlton. The man made lake also offers its visitors a mini cruise ship voyage along the lake. Popular to the celebrities as well, Lake Las Vegas was featured in the 2001 film “America’s Sweethearts” and is also home to former Las Vegas entertainer and singer, Celine Dion.

Over the past few years, access to Lake Las Vegas has become much more convenient due to the U.S. Highway 95/I-215 Bruce Woodbury Beltway interchange at Lake Mead Parkway in Henderson. This interchange facilitates entry not only for those coming from Las Vegas and Northwest Las Vegas, but also for those
coming in from Boulder City and Arizona. Lake Las Vegas is not just a resort built for and dedicated to only visitors and tourists. It also boasts several living communities like Vila di Lago, Bella Fiore, and Mirabella. These communities range from town homes to golf villas. With the previously mentioned opening of the Highway 95/I-215 Beltway interchange, commuters living in Lake Las Vegas have easy access to West Henderson, Downtown Las Vegas, and The Strip. Although
young and isolated from its parent town of Henderson, Lake Las Vegas has quickly become the standard of elegance and prestige for Southern Nevada recreation and entertainment.
