…saunter, stroll or hike to Nevada’s 2nd largest city

From a small, company-based town during WWII, Henderson has grown into a flourishing, full-service metropolis with over 250,000 residents and the only dedicated police, fire and utilities in southern Nevada. Just a short drive from the Vegas Strip, the Hoover Dam and the Lake Mead National Recreation Area, it’s one of the area’s most conveniently located suburbs.

Speaking of convenience, Henderson is known for its master-planned communities with singles family homes, townhouses and apartments, where new roads and transportation projects have helped the city become one of Prevention magazine’s 2007 “Best Walking Cities.” Businesses benefit from progressive tax abatement and deferral programs, so there’s no lack of options for dining, retail and commercial services.

Henderson is much more than convenience, though. Each component of the city—retail, residential and natural—help to make it a well-rounded center for great living.
