Dive nights (and days) at the Rainbow Casino in Henderson

I like to think of Henderson as sweet to Las Vegas’s spicy. Not sure that makes sense but it’s cute, wholesome and pretty much suburbia. Well if you head into the heart of this ‘hood you’ll come across some neon flashing lights with ROY G BIV in the background. That’s the Rainbow Casino - a throw-back. It can get pretty dark inside…not sure if it’s due to the lighting or the cloud of smoke that lingers a consistent 2 inches from my head.
The drinks are solid – the bloody mary’s are pretty impressive for a casino. The food can be questionable. I mean they do advertise a $1.89 breakfast. Anything for $1.89 must be approached with caution.
At any rate, the Rainbow Casino in Henderson is a great place to gamble when you don’t want to deal with the glitz, glamour and drunken tourists on The Strip.
