Central Las Vegas…a step back in time

Central Las Vegas is not much different from a family reunion, where the old and the new are mixing and meeting everywhere.

You’re more likely to find larger, historic homes in Central Las Vegas, as well as a good assortment of condo/townhomes and apartments for rent in many price ranges. It’s a perfect place for history buffs to settle down and enjoy a tourist-y part of Vegas that doesn’t get a lot of hype.

For a taste of history, check out the area around the Old Mormon Fort, where Paiute tribes first settled around natural springs. Later, in 1855, Mormon travelers came here and built a series of adobe buildings that are now the oldest non-Indian structures in Southern Nevada. Or visit the 50+ year-old (currently closed) Huntridge Theatre, which has evolved from a movie house to a concert venue that’s hosted the Beastie Boys, Green Day, Red Hot Chili Peppers and many more.
