Here’s a great website to visit for locating a Christmas tree for the holiday. The website lists each Colorado tree farm by county and provides the name, location, phone, and directions. He also includes the type of each Christmas tree farm, such as pre-cut trees or choose & cut your own tree. The website is a very helpful way to find a Christmas tree location that is convenient and that will meet your family’s needs.
Since my wife and I live in Parker, we went to a Christmas tree farm about 30 minutes south of us, off Parker Rd, called U Cut Tree Farm. We loaded up the dog and headed out to select our Christmas tree the Sunday after Thanksgiving. The property has about 15 acres of Christmas trees in various sizes from 2 feet to 13 feet tall. It appeared they had two varietals of pine tree. Some trees were marked with an orange tag, which were priced at $12.00 per foot. All non tagged trees were priced at an even $35.00.
When you arrive, U Cut Tree Farm provides you with a saw, an informative flyer and some words of advice. U Cut Tree Farm is an eco-conscious farm and does not use any pesticides. They also ask that you cut just above the bottom branch of the tree. This way new growth can continue from each freshly cut stump from the bottom branch.
Here is a great photo of our freshly decorated Christmas tree we bought for just $35.00. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
