Tis the Season for Local Festivals

Possibly one of the best representation of local indie music is the Underground Music Showcase.  Presented by the Denver Post, the 9th annual UMS is happening this weekend in the South Broadway neighborhood.

This years' UMS features more than 150 bands, DJ's and comedians. Performances take place in a variety of intimate, studio-like venues, both indoor and out, including wine bars, parking lots, taverns and lounges that abound in this district.

Talk about  a block party--you can guarantee the 7 blocks along South Broadway will be packed with an interesting crowd, to say the least. If nothing else, you should swing by for a drink and superb people watching.

Event starts Friday 7/24 at 5pm and wraps up on Sunday afternoon.

Visit the Underground Music Showcase website for more info and the lineup.
