What’s the best thing about Larimer Square? Is it the uppity boutiques, the uppity restaurants, the uppity salons or perhaps the uppity people?
Well, NOT when you put it that way.
No, the best thing about Larimer Square, other than the Victorian architecture, is Suki Falbo, owner of Larimer Square Cleaners and Expert Alterations.
Though I live in Uptown, I work 15 miles south in the Tech Center. A great thing about working down south is I can get all my errands done during lunch. Best Buy, Target, Park Meadows, Gas Stations, Car Washes, Book Stores, Dry Cleaners, Post Offices…any establishment needed to scratch another task off my ‘to do’ list is immediately available.
It would be a most uberly convenient thing for me to also go to a tailor located in the DTC, Centennial, Lone Tree or Littleton area too. But I just can’t because Suki is the BEST tailor in the Denver Metro.
Only once did I go to a tailor down south, on Dry Creek Road, and never again will this happen. My jeans came back looking like a pair of wranglers with a prosthetic hem. The thread used was that old, nasty, mustard yellow color.
So I always go to Suki, though it really isn’t very convenient for me. I’ll drop my clothes off in the morning before work and will pick them up on a Saturday (she is open 10 am to 3 pm). Or on the weekdays, I will fight the daily grind to get there by closing. Sometime I will enlist a friend who works downtown to pick up my clothes. But they always have to pop for the tab (because I forget to pay in advance), so that’s not very convenient for them.
But Suki is worth it. You're clothes will fit perfectly and look off the rack when she is through with them.
The best thing about Suki is her joyful nature. She is all smiles and laughs. AND she remembers everyone’s name.
