Spilled the beans on Highway 285

40,000 pounds of pinto beans!?! Aye carumba! I bet the field mice are having a fiesta now!

Apparently, Northbound US 285 is closed for the time being after a semi truck spilled over 40,000 pounds of pinto beans onto the road!

The Colorado State Patrol says the truck was carrying 22 tons of pinto beans in 100-pound bags when it rolled up a dirt embankment and barrier wall. The bags of beans spilled out of the truck and 100 gallons of diesel fuel also leaked out.

Beans and gas? Yikes!

Fortunately no one was hurt in the accident and unfortunately, the estimated worth of the beans is $20,000.

Ah, yes. Beans and gas...Hilarious. Hopefully no one was injured or overcome.
