SmartCars, GreaseCars, and Other Cars

I drove downtown today, saw two alternative vehicles. Within MINUTES of each other.

Greasecar – A VW Beetle with the all the greasecar.com labels on the back. I was on I-25 heading north, got off on Colorado Blvd and it pulled alongside me within a couple of blocks. That’s where all the fast food places are too, and I got a whiff of fried food which I could no longer attribute for certain to place. Who knows from whence it came? Be that as it may, the car hummed along happily. The windows were tinted, so I don't know if the driver was the same, but I feel certain it was a woman driver.

SmartCar – Also on Colorado Blvd and as I glanced in the rearview mirror, it felt like an anorexic moved across my field of vision. TINY! But it buzzed along just as happy as if it was in its right mind – which is a reflection of my attitudes about The Boulevard, and no reflection on the SmartCar. Again, I'm positive the driver was a woman.

I thought, “Two in one day is a sign.” Made me feel a teensy bit insensitive in my Sooby.

Reviews on both technologies are a little wavy...and who cares? We have to start somewhere.
