Sloan Lake is like the tree in Whoville—around it, residents of all ages gather to frolic and celebrate life, holding hands and singing in a gesture of widespread harmony.

Okay, it's not exactly like that, but with the lake at the center, Sloan Lake–Edgewater are picturesque communities with over 100 years of character. William Lang-built 19th-century homes, manicured lawns, Teikyo Loretto Heights University and a wildlife refuge all do their part to serve and impress the people of this neighborhood.
