…and the people's choice goes to

If you keep seeing artwork popup all over Northglenn, then you're witnessing Northglenn's "Art on Parade" program. Every year chosen artists donate their masterpieces to the city for public display. While most the art you'll see is on loan, every year one piece - the "People's Choice'” - is purchased by the city for permanent installation. You can see six of these public art pieces at the E. B. Rains, Jr. Memorial Park.

And speaking of E.B. Rains Park, you're going to want to head there, soon, because this is the park. In fact, it's award winning. But with paddle boats, fishing opportunities, sensory parks, bike paths, BBQ pits, basketball hoops and a skate park…it doesn't sound like there was much competition.

Don't exert too much energy though, because when you're done shootin' hoops, there are still thirty miles of trails to explore. Walk, bike or jog around Northglenn and its neighboring cities and take a breather in any park you see along the way, because in addition to the aforementioned superstar park, open space makes up another 160 acres. And, let’s not forget, the entire city only takes up 7.5 square miles.
