I was excited to receive an email in my inbox today about Landmark Theatres hiring for their newest location in Greenwood Village. I was excited, not because I am looking for a job, but because I definitely think an Indie movie theatre will add just the touch of hip that Greenwood Village needs.
The email didn’t give a lot of details about the opening, other than positions available (Floorstaff, Bartenders, Barbacks and Projectionists if interested) and the opening date which will be sometime in December. There were some minor details about the on the Landmark website:
“Landmark Theatres is committed to expanding its nationwide footprint, with three new theatres opening in 2007…The Landmark Theatre in Greenwood Village, 6 screens located in one of South Denver's fastest growing, lifestyle developments.”
An article in the Denver Business Journal from May 14th (okay, so I'm not that in the know) shed more light on the details.
The Landmark, a transit-oriented development, is located a quarter of a mile from the Orchard Station light rail at 5415 Landmark Pl, Greenwood Village, CO 80121. It will include a 150,865-square-foot retail center housing shops, restaurants like Lime, Ted's Montana Grill and Sparrow Fine Dining and entertainment venues like the movie theatre and a Comedy Works. Two towers are in the works too: a 13-story condo tower with 135 units and a 14-story condo tower with 126 units.
The theatre will be a state-of-the-art 6 screen theatre with a full service bar and lounge.
