Perhaps a little diamond in the rough, this quaint little town offers more than you would think. Morrison, population 410, is located in the foothills of the Rockies. Historic downtown is filled with knick-knack shops, bed and breakfast inns and mom and pop bars and restaurants.

Morrison is most famous for Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre which is literally situated in a formation of red rocks. A sight of epic proportions and host of legendary performances (think Beatles & Grateful Dead), Red Rocks has been hosting public and private performances for over 100 years. Don’t worry if music is not your thing, Red Rocks is open year 'round featuring hiking trails and nature reserves.

The Red Rocks 2008 calendar has been announced. The most exciting act on the schedule thus far is the Sunrise Easter Service. The most current band on the schedule is Big Head Todd and the Monsters. Mmmm, mega yawn.
