Fans on the Field is a unique 5k/10k run/walk. Instead of scrambling around the Downtown Denver structures, like many of the city’s fitness events do, Fans on the Field takes you through them. The Fans on the Field course, as the name would imply, makes its way though three major stadiums: INVESCO at Mile Hile, Coors Field and the Pepsi Center.

During the 2008 Democratic National Convention, many cultural events will be taking place throughout Denver. Most of the DNC action takes place in Downtown Denver (like at Sculpture Park pictured above) and surrounding neighborhoods. All the events featured below are open to the public, and most are free or reasonably priced.

The Bradford Washburn American Mountaineering Museum, located in Golden, CO, is the first museum in the US dedicated to mountaineering. The museum’s goal is to ‘educate the visitor about mountaineering, how and why mountaineers climb, and the mountains themselves.’

Finally! The people have mobilized and are getting together to speak out against the worst sports mascot ever - Dinger, who should be eliminated.

Vita, located in the lower Highlands neighborhood (1575 Boulder St - the purple building next to Lola), has received kudos from 5280 readers as having the best wait staff and the best ambiance in town. Good food or not, appreciation in these two categories can make or break a restaurant. The good news is Vita has great food too.

I like to think of Mickey Zeppelin, a Denver native and real estate developer, as an urbanpreneur. Denver has become the urban environment is it today - where thousands live, work and play - due much in part to the development projects that have checkered his career. As a recent Colorado Construction article states, “He built lofts in LoDo when most people had no idea what a loft was.”

Bizarre (and offensive to some) Denver comic Ben Kronberg will be on Jimmy Kimmel Live tonight. Jimmy's show is on ABC at 11 pm.

The Red Rocks 2008 calendar has been announced. The most exciting act on the schedule thus far is the Sunrise Easter Service. The most current band on the schedule is Big Head Todd and the Monsters. Mmmm, mega yawn.
