Swing by the Printed Page Bookshop during your weekly jaunt to the South Pearl farmers market this Sunday to check out the 1,000 square foot Victorian structure that houses an eclectic collection compiled by 10 local booksellers.
Although Printed Page is the fourth bookstore to open its doors on the block, it is the first one to introduce the concept of "micro-retailing" in which a variety of booksellers rent space from the owners and share shifts to keep operating costs at a minimum.
To celebrate the opening a unique variety of formerly banned books will by on display. Guess which of the 50 or so books has not been banned or censored in the past and you could win a shopping spree at the store.
Read more about the unique aspects of micro-retailing and the story behind the idea on the Printed Page Bookshop website.
