...where the hipsters roam

Close to downtown and just over the pedestrian Highland Bridge you'll find one of the hottest 'hoods in Denver. An invigorating cross-section inhabits the Highlands and Jefferson Park area, from singles to young families to grandparents, all enlivened with ethnic influences.

There's lots of reasons these rising stars are on the way up—like an easy-going mix of old homes, new lofts, little neighborhood churches, corner groceries, fun family-owned-and-operated cafés and boutiques and bars. It's definitely hooked into the city's nightlife. Just check out the hip Coral Room, Mead St. Station pub, and 3 Dogs Tavern.

The annual Highlands Street Fair and wine tasting keeps it all outdoors. Plus—3rd Thursdays on 32nd, another cool event, which includes special shopping opps, live music, drinks, trunk shows and even the occasional celebrity sighting.

People here feel they've got it all…so, why hang out anywhere else?

Vita- Go for the Happy Hour, Stay for the Ambiance

Vita, located in the lower Highlands neighborhood (1575 Boulder St - the purple building next to Lola), has received kudos from 5280 readers as having the best wait staff and the best ambiance in town. Good food or not, appreciation in these two categories can make or break a restaurant. The good news is Vita has great food too.
